This red and arid land with so much energy and abundant billabongs, captivates the soul with a feeling and sense mystic and calm.

This red and arid land, a land of the first Karajarri people. A place that possesses so much contrast, so energy much, so much life.

So far from everything, from all that encroaches this world. Everything here possesses life, the boulders that move from resting place to resting place, the old wattle trees that have seen and experienced more than the men who walk this land, and the ripples of water that show themselves in the clear turquoise waters of the abundant billabongs. The richness in the Earth’s pindan soil provides high above the clifftops, erupting in a field of vegetation, foliage and green. See, here, everything is connected. Even above, the lonesome full moon, gazes down on all children of this majestic land. Encapsulating a feeling and sense of mystic and calm.

This is the land I work in, driving my 4x4 down dusty red roads with eyes like a hawk, fixed on the beauty that surrounds me. I am lucky. I am blessed.
